Forest of Dreams: Contemporary Tree Sculpture, exhibited at the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, offers unexpected visions of these remarkable organisms, showcasing trees in all their power, beauty, strangeness, and glory. The exhibition showcases abstract sculptures, some combining human and tree anatomy to help us rediscover our connection to nature. Ai Weiwei’s cast iron sculpture Iron Root, 2015, will be featured alongside the works of 14 other exceptional artists.
In tandem with the works featured in Forest of Dreams, Meijer Gardens is showcasing its permanent collection of tree-themed works throughout the Sculpture Park and grounds, including work by the British sculptor David Nash.
